We procure principal contractors for works within educational settings and deliver project management services for small to medium capital projects up to £10 million. In addition, we assist in developing approved contractor frameworks to reduce repairs and maintenance costs, improve procurement efficiency, and support the delivery of a sustainable long-term capital investment programme.

We act as a central point of coordination between employers, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring that contractual obligations are clearly understood and properly administered in accordance with the chosen form of contract. Our services include preparing and issuing contract documentation, managing change control procedures, assessing and certifying interim valuations, reviewing contractor submissions, administering extensions of time, and monitoring compliance with programme and quality requirements. We maintain robust record-keeping and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle to mitigate risk, minimise the potential for disputes, and protect our clients’ commercial position.
In addition, we can incorporate CDM advisory services within our commission, undertaking the role of Principal Designer where required under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. In this capacity, we plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase, ensuring that risks are identified, eliminated, or controlled so far as reasonably practicable. We coordinate the design team to ensure compliance with CDM duties, facilitate effective communication between designers and contractors, and oversee the preparation and collation of pre-construction information and the health and safety file. By integrating Contract Administration and Principal Designer responsibilities, we provide a cohesive and streamlined service that enhances compliance, strengthens risk management, and supports the safe, efficient delivery of construction and civil engineering projects in line with agreed scope, cost, time, quality, and statutory requirements.

Acting as Principal Contractor, we plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate the construction phase to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, maintaining robust site management procedures, clear communication channels, and effective coordination of all contractors and stakeholders.
In our role as Principal Designer, we lead and manage health and safety during the pre-construction phase, coordinating the design team to identify, eliminate, and control risks at source, ensuring that statutory duties are met and that comprehensive pre-construction information and health and safety files are properly developed and maintained. Our CDM advisory services support clients in understanding and discharging their legal responsibilities, embedding practical risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Projects can be delivered using our experienced direct labour workforce, giving clients confidence in quality control and programme certainty, or through our trusted supply chain partners selected from Hauxley Group’s preapproved Framework, ensuring competence, reliability, and alignment with our high standards of safety and performance. This flexible delivery model allows us to tailor our service to each project’s scale and complexity while maintaining consistent governance, compliance, and quality outcomes.

Our services cover the procurement and commercial management of subcontractors, from tendering and appointment through to the assessment and agreement of subcontractor valuations. We also offer full contract administration in accordance with relevant forms of contract, ensuring compliance and risk control, and we support our clients through the negotiation and agreement of final accounts to achieve commercially successful project outcomes.
