About this Project

The project was a comprehensive civil engineering and groundworks package for Ideal Boilers at their manufacturing facility in Hull. The project formed part of a wider site development programme designed to enhance operational capacity and modernise infrastructure within a live industrial environment.

The scope of works commenced with the careful demolition of existing structures and hardstandings, ensuring safe segregation from ongoing site operations and maintaining uninterrupted access to adjacent production areas. Following site clearance, the construction of reinforced concrete foundations and floor slabs designed to accommodate new plant, equipment, and structural loads associated with the facility expansion was undertaken. Reinforced concrete walls were constructed to provide both structural integrity and retention where required.

A full below-ground drainage installation was delivered, incorporating foul and surface water systems, together with associated service ducting and utility infrastructure. As part of the site’s sustainable drainage strategy, we installed a large attenuation tank to manage surface water discharge rates in line with local authority and statutory requirements.

External works included new hardstandings, access roads, kerbing, and paving to support operational traffic and logistics movements across the site. In addition, Section 278 highway works to facilitate improved access and integration with the existing public highway network, ensuring full compliance with local authority standards were delivered.
